The Lemosho Route is widely regarded as one of the best routes for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro due to its scenic beauty, gradual ascent, and high summit success rate. Starting on the western side of the mountain, this route offers a quiet and remote approach during the first few days before joining the Machame Route near the Shira Plateau.
The 8-day Lemosho itinerary provides excellent acclimatization, giving climbers a better chance of reaching the summit comfortably and safely. Along the journey, trekkers pass through several ecological zones including rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, and the arctic summit zone.
The adventure culminates at Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa, offering breathtaking views above the clouds.
This route is ideal for climbers who want more time to acclimatize, incredible scenery, and one of the highest success rates on Kilimanjaro.
