The Lemosho Route is considered one of the most beautiful and scenic routes for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Starting from the western side of the mountain, this route offers spectacular landscapes, fewer crowds in the early days, and excellent acclimatization opportunities.
The 7-day Lemosho itinerary provides a gradual ascent that improves summit success rates while allowing climbers to experience Kilimanjaro’s diverse ecosystems—from lush rainforest to alpine desert and the icy summit zone.
Trekkers join the Machame Route near Shira Plateau, continuing through iconic landmarks such as Lava Tower, Barranco Wall, and Barafu Camp, before reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa.
This route is ideal for climbers seeking beautiful scenery, a quieter approach, and a high chance of reaching the summit.
